Jeannette Viens, St. Andrew's, Scotland
The Girls’ Volleyball program at Wilbraham & Monson Academy has enjoyed success on several levels over the past few years. One recent highlight for the program is the recognition of the Class B schools by the New England Prep School Fall Girls Volleyball Association (NEPSRGVA). There are currently 27 schools in the Class B Division. As a result of the restructuring, the Titans are eligible to participate in both the postseason tournament and the all-league All-Star tournament.
Coach Donna Barone has been the Girls’ Varsity Volleyball coach at WMA since 2002, compiling a winning record over those years. Coach Barone was instrumental in developing the Fall Classic Tournament prior to the inclusion of the Class B schools in NEPSFGVA postseason events. She is IMPACT certified and continues to play volleyball during the off-season. She was the assistant coach for the Western Mass Boys’ Volleyball team participating in the 2009 Bay State Games.
