Students, public enjoy WMA's GEM conference World of Water
At Wilbraham & Monson Academy each April is Global Education Month (GEM). During the month, WMA focuses on one topic; this year it was the school's year-long academic theme: water.
Friday, April 5, the Academy held its premiere GEM event, the World of Water Conference. The half-day learning opportunity was kicked off by Keynote Speaker Fabien Cousteau. Fabien, grandson of the original "custodian of the sea" Jacques Cousteau, is an oceanographer who founded Plant a Fish.
After his keynote Fabien made himself available to students, faculty, guests and the media for questions and informal conversation.
Fabien also did a local media tour. You can listen to his Mix 93.1 radio spot and view his Mass Appeal segment as well.
