We believe in your potential, and we want to help you discover and unleash it. At the Academy, we nurture the whole person because we know that what happens beyond the classroom makes you feel good about who you are. As a part of our Academy family, you have opportunities to shine wherever your talents lie.

At the Academy, students play a vital role in school life. Each spring students apply to be prefects or peer counselors, run for class office, or run for Student Senate. In our leadership program, we help students grow into the leadership roles they choose. Prefects have a class that meets during the academic day, and all newly selected students participate in Leadership Day, a time to plan for the coming year and to begin to understand their responsibilities. Other opportunities for leadership exist through student publications, the theatre, and athletics.

If you are a boarding student, your peers become your sisters and brothers. Your dorm parents care about you in much the same way as your own parents, who will feel good knowing you feel supported and safe. Though your days are structured, there is plenty of time to relax and have fun.

Helping young people become global leaders and ambassadors for good will is the reason we are here; our Community Service program is in place to make certain you understand the value of helping others. Community service projects inspire our students to be socially responsible citizens. We expect our graduates to use their talent and knowledge to help make the world a better place.
