Directed Study
The Directed Study program was established with the purpose of helping students strengthen their study skills and deepen their understanding of course material. Some students choose to participate in this program for the sake of academic enrichment. other students who have experienced academic difficulty in a subject area are assigned to the Directed Study program. These students are required to receive additional help from a teacher in the area where they are experiencing difficulty. These required meetings are tracked through a signature process.
Students who do not accumulate the required signatures receive a Friday evening detention for each missing signature. if a trend of not getting signatures develops, the situation becomes a disciplinary issue, and students may be placed on conduct status.
