Middle School

When you look at our middle school, this is what I think you will find:
• A wonderful group of caring and supportive educators who are exactly where they want to be: teaching middle school students.
• Friendly, bright, inquisitive students eager to welcome you into our middle school community
• A strong program
of studies featuring an integrated curriculum based on interesting, exciting, and pertinent themes.
• An excellent level of academic support featuring directed study and a strong advisor program
• A full spate of extra curricular activities including participation in ToyChallenge, Lego Robotics, and Rube Goldberg competitions.
• A competitive after-school athletic program for boys and girls including soccer, basketball, swimming, and tennis.
Furthermore, our students are heading toward an upper school featuring an educational philosophy that considers a global perspective, that encourages and offers opportunities for world travel from Brussels to Bangkok, that has a CEGS
program and 18+ AP
level courses.
WMA is a school that has had recent graduates accepted at Babson, Bates, Brown, Colgate, Columbia, Harvard, Mount Holyoke, Michigan, Northwestern, Princeton, Smith, UPenn, Wake Forest, William & Mary, and Yale.
I encourage prospective students to spend a day with us to find out what our students are like. Are they friendly and welcoming? Do they demonstrate care and concern? Do you get a strong sense of community when you are on campus?
The peer group a child establishes at this age becomes a
vital component of generating success. Surround yourself with wonderful people
and your chances for success are greatly improved. The WMA Middle School is
full of bright, friendly, inquisitive students and caring, supportive teachers.
We invite success!
You have an open invitation to give our Admission Office a
